What we collect, and what we do with it.
Last updated 2026-08-31.
The short version. We ask for your email address, and your phone number only if you choose to give it. We use them to write to you about Second Wind Karate and nothing else. We do not sell them, we do not share them for advertising, and there are no tracking cookies or analytics on this site. Ask us and we will delete everything we hold about you.
Who we are
This site is operated by [[LEGAL ENTITY NAME — e.g. "Eran Shine" as a sole proprietor, or the company name once one exists]] (“Second Wind Karate”, “we”, “us”), of [[POSTAL ADDRESS — required by US email law on every marketing email, so it has to be an address you are willing to publish]].
For anything about this policy, write to [[PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL]].
What we collect
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address (required) |
When you ask for the free lesson, or ask for a place in the cohort | To send you the lesson, to answer you, and to tell you when the course opens |
| Phone number (optional — only if you enter one) |
Only on the cohort form | So Eran can call you before you decide, if that is what you asked for |
| Your answers to the eight welcome questions (optional — every one can be skipped) |
Once, the first time you open your lessons | So we know who is learning with Eran: why you came, your age range, whether you are a man or a woman, how much physical activity you do in a week, whether you have trained before, which movements are comfortable for you, for how long and when you want to practise, whether you want a reminder, and anything you type in the “something else” box. The movement answers are not a health record and are never used as one: they only decide which version of a movement you are shown. Never shown to anyone else. |
| Anything you type in a message to us | If you write to us | To reply |
| Ordinary server logs — IP address, browser, the page requested, the time | Every visit, automatically, by our hosting provider | To keep the site running and to stop abuse. We do not use these to build a profile of you. |
What we do not collect
- No cookies. This site sets none — not for analytics, not for advertising, not for anything. That is why you are not being asked to accept any.
- No analytics or tracking pixels. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session recording, no heatmaps.
- No advertising networks, and no data sold or shared with any.
- No health information. Please do not send us your medical details. If you tell us about an injury or a condition so we can adapt the training, we keep it only as long as needed and we do not share it. We are not a healthcare provider and this is not medical record-keeping.
- Nothing from children. This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Who else sees it
Only the services that make the site work. Each one gets the minimum it needs.
| Who | What they get | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel Inc. (United States) | Server logs; form submissions pass through on their way to us | Hosts the site |
| Google LLC (United States) | Your email address and, if given, your phone number — stored in a Google Sheet we control | Where we keep the list |
| Google Fonts (United States) | Your IP address, when your browser loads the page's typefaces | Typography. [[We can remove this entirely by hosting the fonts ourselves — recommended, see the note below]] |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will hand over information if the law actually requires it.
Where it is kept, and for how long
On servers in the United States. If you are in the UK, the EU or elsewhere, that means your information is transferred to the US and handled under US law. We rely on your consent for that transfer, and on the standard contractual protections our providers publish.
We keep your details for as long as you want to hear from us, and for up to 24 months after you last engage with us — then we delete them. Ask sooner and we delete sooner.
Your choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete everything.
- Stop writing to you. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and replying “stop” works just as well.
- Stop calling you, at any time, for any reason.
Write to [[PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL]] and we will do it. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.
If you are in California
Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the rights above, plus the right to know the categories of personal information we collect (identifiers — your name if you give it, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and internet activity in the form of server logs), the purposes above, and the categories of third parties listed above. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we have not in the preceding twelve months. We do not use it for profiling or automated decision-making. You may use an authorised agent. We will verify a request by replying to the email address we hold.
If you are in the UK, the EU or the EEA
Our legal basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form and can withdraw at any time without affecting what came before. You also have the right to object, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to the list is limited to Roy, Eran and Ori. We are a small team using ordinary tools, not a bank — no service can promise perfect security, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. Please do not send us passwords, card numbers or identity documents; we will never ask for them.
Changes
If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. If the change is significant and we have your email address, we will tell you.
Note for Roy, not for the public. This page is written to be accurate about what the site actually does today, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and I am not one. Before this site takes money or runs ads, have a US attorney read this, the Terms, and the health claims in the Benefits section together. Everything marked in orange still needs a real answer.
